Karena itulah Al-Aufi telah meriwayatkan dari Ibnu Abbas sehubungan dengan makna firman-Nya: atau Allah mengazab mereka di saat (mereka) dalam keadaan takut. (An-Nahl: 47) Allah Swt. berfirman, "Jika Aku menghendaki, tentu Aku mengazabnya setelah kematian temannya dan di saat ia dicekam oleh rasa ketakutan akan tertimpa azab."
